Die Liebe, ein so großes Wort,
ist sie mir schon mal begegnet, an jenem Ort?
Sie scheint an mir vorbeizulaufen,
still, schweigend wie ein Schatten, streift sie mich nicht einmal.
Was würde ich dafür geben, ihr wenigstens einmal zu begegnen...
Den Preis, den ich dafür zahlen würde, kenne nur ich, vergiss das nicht.
Mein Herz, es schreit so fürchterlich, vor Unsicherheit, vor Verlangen, jedoch schaltet sich der Kopf dazu und fängt an zu bangen.
Die Mauern, die ich einst erbaute, so hoch, so schön, haben mir doch immer Sicherheit gegeben.
Doch mein Bestreben riss sie ein oder baute an anderer Stelle wieder Stein auf Stein.
Wo ist die Prinzessin mit ihrem Ross?
Wo ist der Mensch, der mich erobert, ein Feuer entfacht und mich ganz sacht „fesselt“, aber nicht festbindet?
Ich möchte lieben ohne Leiden, ohne Tragik, ohne Trauer, gemeinsam mit dir in dem Fluss der Zeit schwimmen. Doch möchtest du es auch?
