Imaging herself
carrying her life in her
arms like a baby
she'd just sighed + said:
"Well, that's how it is, my dear."
Then she'd turned away
just letting it pass
somewhat unwillingly but
well-prepared to leave
ready to be cut
+ served in pieces just like
an iced cake she felt.
Even the recent
had become obsolete -
exclutionary -
just mere convention
where the face was left empty
But how well she stood
embodying the
mocks of the beliefs that were
around actually
Her last letter to
joy had been written in haste -
she'd dropped just 1 line:
"This aint a letter -
only my arms around you
for a quick minute."
Like a radiance
some deep-seated desire
really impressed her -
like an afterglow:
simply exhausted
but burningly resentful...
Just devastated
by a role that seemed to have
no point anymore -
full of alarming
penetration in
discovering what they had
well... least wished to know -
impulsively she'd
reworked her story, calling
it "prelude"... again...
