Marula Di Como (Künstlerin) entwickelt seit 2000 Piktogramme als Teil ihrer künstlerischen Sprache. Sie und Florencia Young (Grafikerin) arbeiteten zusammen in Buenos Aires, darunter in den Projekten „El futuro está en el papel pintado de la Bauhaus" (Goethe-Institut, Buenos Aires, 1997) und „Des-Límites, Valle del Riachuelo Matanzas" (Goethe-Institut; auch im Di Tella-Institut ausgestellt und von der Kuratorin Catherine David für die Ausstellung „City Editing", Proa Stiftung, Buenos Aires 1999, ausgewählt worden).
Beide treffen sich wieder in Berlin und konzipieren zusammen „Proyecto Ausländer”. Dabei geht es um die Erfahrungen und Empfindungen, Ausländerinnen zu sein (Berlin und Buenos Aires, 2003/2004).
In 2004 laden sie Estela Schindel (Soziologin) ein und bilden gemeinsam das Kollektiv migrantas mit den Projekten „Integration" (Berlin 2005), „Interkulturelle Werkstatt", „Bilder bewegen" und „Bilder bewegen II" (Berlin 2006). Die Mitarbeit von Irma Leinauer (Planerin) bei migrantas beginnt 2006 und die von Alejandra López (Journalistin) 2007 mit dem Projekt „Bundesmigrantinnen", das im Herbst 2007 in Hamburg startete.
