Durch den Cupido-Thread fiel mir ein Buch wieder ein, welches ich vor längerer Zeit gelesen habe. Hatte es von einer ehemaligen Kollegin geliehen bekommen. Leider weiß ich Titel und Schriftsteller/in nicht mehr, allerdings die grobe Handlung:

Eine Polizistin (ich glaube, sie hieß Nightingale) wird als Lockvogel für einen Serienmörder eingesetzt. Die Sache geht schief und der Killer will sich an ihr rächen. Sie soll untertauchen und zieht in das Haus ihrer Tante irgendwo auf dem Land, welches seit deren Tod leersteht. Die war wohl sehr lebenslustig und lebte mit einer Frau zusammen (die Quotenlesbe jedes Thrillers) und hatte eine Tochter, die bei/nach der Geburt gestorben war. Da gibt es einige Ungereimtheiten und die Dorfbewohner machen seltsame Andeutungen, woraufhin die Polizistin in ihrer Vergangenheit forscht und herausbekommt, dass ihre Eltern Zwillinge erwarteten (die Polizistin hat einen Zwillingsbruder) und zur selben Zeit auch die Tante ihr Kind bekam. Das Mädchen des Zwillingspaares starb kurz nach der Geburt und der Vater der Polizistin tauschte das tote Kind gegen das seiner Schwester aus mit Hinweis auf den schlechen Lebensstil der Tante. Natürlich folgt der Killer der Polizistin (ebenso wie deren Chef) und es gibt einen Kampf im Haus der Tante....

Kennt jemand das Buch und weiß, wie es heißt oder/und wer es geschrieben hat?

Danke schon mal im Voraus, ich bin sicher, bei so vielen belesenen Frauen finde ich hier die richtige Antwort.
