Threadless und der Deutsche Zoll

Da es hier schon einmal um das Thema ging, aber keiner über Erfahrungen bei Bestellungen auf dieser Seite http://www.threadless.com (Verkauf von T-Shirts mit Designs von privaten Personen) berichten konnte, möchte ich dies nun tun.

Zunächst einmal hat das Unternehmen, welches die T-Shirts verkauft, ihren Sitz in Chicago (IL), USA. Und hier liegt auch schon das Problem. Wir haben einfach mal den Versuch gewagt und zu zweit jeweils 3 Shirts im vorweihnachtlichen Ausverkauf zu je 9$ bestellt. Hinzu kamen 15$ Versandkosten. Somit waren wir schnell bei 69$ angelangt.

Umgerechnet waren es für uns am Ende ca. 38€ netto für die Shirts + ca. 7€ Einfuhrumsatzsteuer (ab 22€ Bestellwert ohne Versandkosten --> 19% vom Bestellwert) und ca. 10-11€ für den Versand. Das macht ca. 56€ für 6 T-Shirts mit tollen Designs.

Es lohnt sich also, auch wenn der Versand und die zollrechtliche Abfertigung insgesamt über 5 Wochen gedauert hat. Bei der Abfertigung durch den Zoll wird das Paket durch einen Mitarbeiter der Deutschen Post geöffnet und dann vom Zoll begutachtet. Der Zoll stellt die entstanden Zollabgaben der Deutschen Post in Rechnung, welche sich die Zollabgaben (in unserem Fall die 7€ Einfuhrumsatzsteuer) an der Tür bei der Übergabe des Pakets beim Empfänger zurückholt.

Aufpassen sollte man lediglich, dass die Bestellung nicht über umgerechnet. 150€ hinausgeht, da in diesem Fall zusätzlich zur Einfuhrumsatzsteuer noch Zoll fällig wird. Der Zollsatz für Textilien liegt derzeit bei 12%.
