Vergangenheit Gedenken

Am 27. Januar wurde ein Stolperstein für ein schwules Opfer des Nationalsozialismus in Düsseldorf verlegt.

Die deutsche Geschichte bringt, wie jeder weiß, auch eine dunkle Seite mit sich. Eine Zeit, in der viele schlimme Dinge geschehen sind, in der viel Leid herrschte und die auch noch Jahre später ihre Folgen mit sich zieht. Die NS-Zeit, in welcher Millionen Menschen entrechtet, verfolgt, gequält und ermordet wurden.

Zu Gedenken an die Opfer des Nationalsozialismus wurden bereits in einigen Städten, vor den ehemaligen Wohnhäusern, Stolpersteine verlegt - kleine Messingplatten, in welche die Namen der Opfer eingraviert wurden.

Am 27.01.2013 wurde in Bilk auf der Merowingerstraße 31 ein solcher Stein für Joseph Völker verlegt, welcher verurteilt wurde wegen Unzüchtigen Vergehens nach Paragraph 175, welcher zu der damaligen Zeit, Homosexualität verbot. Joseph Völker starb am 09. Januar 1943 im KZ Neuengamme. Jugendliche vom Jugendzentrum PULS standen, zusammen mit einigen anderen Gedenkenden, vor seinem Haus und wurden somit erneut zum Nachdenken angeregt. "Zum Glück hat sich über die Jahre schon einiges verändert - trotzdem finde ich es auch wichtig, in die Vergangenheit zu schauen und ebenso Platz und Raum zum Gedenken zu geben. Mich hat die schlimme Geschichte von Joseph Völker sehr berührt."

Wir vom Jugendzentrum PULS sind froh, dass in Düsseldorf auch an die Opfer des NS-Regimes Sichtbar bedacht werden.
