Guten Abend,

viele von euch werden die Gedichte von Selma Meerbaum-Eisinger kennen. Eine gute Freundin von mir schreibt gerade an einer neuen Biografie. Sie hat bereits einige, aus Mangel an einem besseren Wort sage ich jetzt mal "bahnbrechende" Erkenntnisse gewonnen. Es sind jedoch noch weitere Recherchen notwendig, zum Beispiel müssen Zeitzeugen befragt werden. Die Zeit läuft, einige der Zeitzeugen sind schon sehr sehr alt. Leider haben sich keine Fördermittel für das Buchprojekt auftreiben lassen. Deswegen hat Marions Verlag jetzt das "Projekt Selma" gestartet. Seht es euch bitte einmal an:

Dies ist der letzte Eintrag von Selma Meerbaum-Eisinger in ihrem einzigen Gedichtalbum »Blütenlese«. Kurze Zeit später starb sie 1942 achtzehnjährig in einem deutschen Arbeitslager Michailowka in der Ukraine.

Ihre kaum 60 Gedichte überstanden den Krieg auf abenteuerlichen Wegen. Heute ist sie eine anerkannte Größe in der deutschsprachigen Lyrik - und Ihr Werk wird zur Weltliteratur gerechnet, auch wenn es kaum 60 Gedichte umfasst.

Über Selma Meerbaum-Eisinger selbst aber wissen wir so gut wie nichts.

Eine Biografie schien aufgrund der vagen Angaben, der wenigen zusammengetragenen Erinnerungen, der unbestimmten Lebensdaten bisher nicht möglich.

Die offizielle Forschung verharrt in der Annahme, dass zum Leben der Dichterin alles bekannt ist.
