Adobe Photoshop Express heißt die kostenlose Online-Version von Photoshop, die Adobe ab sofort im Rahmen einer englischsprachigen Public Beta zum Testen anbietet. Die Online-Fassung bietet Anwendern nicht nur die Möglichkeit, ihre Bilder online zu verwalten, die Fotos können auch bearbeitet werden. Dazu stehen grundlegende Bildbearbeitungsfunktionen zur Verfügung, mit denen beispielsweise der Rote-Auge-Effekt von Fotos entfernt, die Bilder-Größe angepasst oder Fotos mit Effekten unterlegt werden können.
Für die Verwaltung der eigenen Fotosammlung stellt Adobe den Anwendern insgesamt 2 GB Speicherplatz zur Verfügung. Zusätzlich besteht auch eine Anbindung zu sozialen Netzwerken, wie Facebook, Picasa und Photobucket, durch die die Bilder bequem bei den betreffenden Diensten hochgeladen werden können.
Alle bei Photoshop Express hochgeladenen Bilder landen in einer Bibliothek. Von hier aus lassen sich Bilder in verschiedene Alben und Diashows ablegen, die auch anderen Anwendern zum Ansehen zur Verfügung gestellt werden können.
Die Vorabfassung ist derzeit nur in englischer Sprache verfügbar. An einer deutschen Version arbeitet Adobe derzeit noch. Fest steht, dass Adobe die Basis-Version des Dienstes gratis anbieten wird, es aber auch kostenpflichtige Zusatzdienste geben wird.
