Mein Herz folgt dir still und leise
Du nimmst es mit auf eine Reise
Und du merkst nicht einmal,
wie sehr du es zum strahlen bringst.

Ohne es zu ahnen, ziehst du deine Bahnen
Durch meine Gedankenstrudel

Und ich sage dir wie schön du bist,
weil es wahr ist
Und du da bist,
mit jeder Faser deines Körpers
Bist du im hier und jetzt

Doch leider steht auf deinem Herz „schon besetzt“
Jemand anderes bringt dein Herz zum strahlen
Was würde ich nicht alles dafür tun, um dieser eine Jemand zu sein
Aber du schenkst mir reinen Wein ein
Und ich betrinke mich damit.

Gebe mich mit deiner Freundschaft zufrieden…
Das rede ich mir zumindest ein
Aber in manchen Momenten fühle ich mich so unsagbar klein,
das deine Nähe mich innerlich zum Schreien bringt.
Und mein Stolz es mir verbietet nach deinen Armen zu rufen.

Wie kann es sein das das Herz sowenig auf den Verstand hört?
Wie ein kleines störrisches Kind weigert es sich die Tatsachen zu akzeptieren.
Geht auf die Barrikaden und wirft mit Steinen die aus Worten bestehen
Und dann kannst du mich leiden sehen
Aber diese Blöße will ich mir nicht geben
Bin hart im nehmen und es wird noch andere schöne Frauen geben

Doch dann lächelst du mich wieder an und alles gedachte, vergisst
Ich denke nur noch, oh man, wie sehr hab ich dich doch vermisst.
Dich und deine Arme die mir ein Zuhause bauen.

Und so geht das Spiel wieder von vorne los,
bloß, ich gehe nicht über Los und ziehe keine 2000 Mark ein
nein, ich betrinke mich nur weiterhin mit dem Wein, denn du mir doch so ehrlich eingeschenkt hast.
