Mir ist aufgefallen, dass momentan ein regelrechter Boom von SciFi-Veröffentlichungen mit homosexuellen Charakteren aufzukommen scheint - am offensichtlichsten wohl Aktionen wie die Sonderausgabe "Queers destroy Science Fiction" der Lightspeed-Serie (
https://www.kickstarter.c [...] -fiction ).
Aber auch in anderen Magazinen sind mir Geschichten aufgefallen, in denen Charaktere endlich mal völlig selbstverständlich homosexuell sind, ohne dass sich deshalb die halbe Geschichte um Diskriminierung, Outing oder sonstige "spezifischen" Probleme dreht - nein, die Charaktere konzentrieren sich stattdessen auf das, was heterosexuelle Charaktere an ihrer Stelle auch tun würden. Zuletzt begegnet ist mir da die wunderbare (aber Achtung, trigger-gefährdete!) Geschichte von Eneasz Brodski "Red Legacy" in der Februar-Ausgabe vom Asimov-Magazin - Hörbuch (ebenfalls englisch) kostenlos hier:

Das scheint sich jetzt endlich zu ändern - oder ist das nur eine vorübergehende "wir müssen jetzt alle ganz tolerant tun, aber nächstes Jahr ist wieder alles wie vorher" Erscheinung? Was meint ihr? Ändert sich wirklich was? Und welche Geschichten/Romane/Autoren sind euch positiv aufgefallen?
