Philippe Starck wurde 1991 beauftragt, in einem ehemaligen Theater in Madrid aus dem Jahr 1925 eine Bar und ein Restaurant zu entwerfen. Starck nutzte die theatralische Aura des Raums und entwarf eine dramatische Komposition. Er band viele Elemente des alten Theaters in sein Designkonzept ein. Diese erste Folge zeigt neben der Bar "Teatriz" in Madrid eine ehemalige Kirche in Brüssel als Bar. Dazu sind die Bars im weltberühmten Guggenheim Museum in New York und im Reina Sofia Museum in Madrid zu sehen.
