Unglaublich, dass die ersten Episoden dieser Serie mittlerweile schon zwanzig Jahre alt sind. Und Alison Bechdel hat sich wunderbar mit der Zeit entwickelt - bzw. ihre Protagonistinnen sich konsequent entwickeln lassen. Die politischen Aspekte sind noch dazu (zumindest für mich) in diesem Band am besten nachvollziehbar, einfach weil ich von der Zeit in Amerika vor zehn bis zwanzig Jahre nicht genug weiss, um in den früheren Bänden alles wirklich zu verstehen. Und ihre politischen Spitzen und (Seiten)Hiebe sind hervorragend, treffsicher, zielgerichtet - köstlich. Wenn einem auch manchmal vor lauter Real-Satire regelrecht das Lachen im Halse stecken bleibt.
