Wo vor vierzigtausend Jahren Teergruben zur tückischen Falle für Bisons und Säbelzahntiger wurden, steht heute - mitten in L.A. - das Museum von Rancho La Brea. Touristen und Schülergruppen pilgern in Scharen zu den Grabungsstellen, wo Wissenschaftler perfekt konservierte Knochen zu Tage fördern. Doch die Idylle wird empfindlich gestört, als eines Morgens ein Toter auf dem Gelände liegt. Ein Mord aus Willkür? Beurteilung von Miriam
Der schwächste Band der Kate-Delafield-Serie. Die Geschichte ist, meiner Meinung nach, eine arge Räuberpistole, vor allem, wenn man die anderen Geschichten dieser Reihe dagegen hält.
