Die Schwerelosigkeit der Flusspfe

Yannick Herbst ist Anfang 30 und mäßig erfolgreicher Stand-up-Comedian. "Früher hieß es Komiker", sagt seine Mutter, "aber da waren die Leute auch noch witzig." Er lebt in Berlinder Stadt der kreativen Durchwurstler, und strauchelt zwischen neurotischen Comedy Veranstaltern, provinziellen Kleinkunstvereinen und humorlosen Fernsehproduzenten hin und her. Seine Fantasie verlangt eine Trennung auf Zeit, und bei seinen Auftritten stehlen ihm immer öfter Panikattacken die Show. Immerhin bietet sich Yannick mit einem Mal die Chance, auf der Showtreppe des privaten Glücks ein paar Stufen gut zu machen. Er verliebt sich in den jungen Flusspferdpfleger Konrad, der nicht nur seine kreative Fantasie beflügelt. Doch diese Beziehung entwickelt sich, nun ja, irgendwie komisch. Die Schwerelosigkeit der Flusspferde ist böse Mediensatire, Berlin-Roman und tragikomische Liebesgeschichte in einem.

Mal wieder ein wunderbarer Schwulenroman auf unserer Seite! Bei mir hat das gesamte Buch "funktioniert". Von Anfang hat zieht einen die Geschichte mit, die Tragikomik trägt, ohne ins Depressive umzuschlagen, die Satire treibt einem die Tränen in die Augen (zum Glück meistens die vom Lachen!), ein lebensnahes Ende krönt das Ganze sehr konsequent. Und dabei locker-leicht geschrieben.
